By now, I'm sure you've probably heard ... Pantone 17-5641 Emerald, is the Color of the Year for 2013. 

This deep, rich shade of green (not to be confused with Kelly Green) belongs in the jewel tone family. It's also the birthstone for May. Jewel tones are very on-trend this season for fashion and home decor. Emerald would make a dramatic statement in your closet, as well as any room, from walls and accents to furniture and  greenery – a great addition to your home for the holidays!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

BAM! It finally feels like the holidays! I never thought I would be so glad to have some colder weather, but I'm excited for this cold front that just arrived. I moved to Texas (from Kansas) for the warmer weather, but throw us a bone, Mother Nature! It's December by golly. I've been dreaming about sweaters, boots, and infinity scarves.
